The United States Embassy
We were engaged by the American Embassy to organise the inaugural American Ambassador’s Golf Tournament that was held in Luttrellstown Golf Club. Participating teams travelled from all over America to join their Irish American counterparts to play for the ‘The American Ambassador’s Golf Tournament’. We were also responsible for organising two Gala Banquets for the event. The first pre-tournament took place in Luttrelstown Castle and the second in a superb marquee in the grounds of the Ambassador’s residence.

The Fulbright Commission
We worked with the Trustees of the Irish American Fulbright Commission in the development of a €1,260,000 fund raising programme subsequent to changes in legislation that allowed the Commission to raise funds in Ireland. The Fulbright Program is the U.S. Government’s flagship program in international educational exchange and was proposed to the U.S. Congress in 1945 by then freshman Senator J. William Fulbright of Arkansas. Fulbright grants are made to U.S. citizens and nationals of other countries for a variety of educational activities, primarily university lecturing, advanced research, graduate study and teaching in elementary and secondary schools. Since the program’s inception, more than 250,000 participants – chosen for their leadership potential – have had the opportunity to observe each other’s political, economic and cultural institutions.

The Restaurants Association of Ireland
Our involvement on a retainer basis included handling the general public relations for the RAI on a day-to-day basis but in addition, we also developed numerous angles to highlight key areas of members concerns, which related to taxation levels, smoking and other business issues.

The Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland
Retainer contract, which involved a strong media relations campaign. We were involved in the media aspect of their annual conference, graduation ceremony, budget response and other such financial issues.

Cambridge Action Group for Equity
Engaged by Paul W. Mackay we were employed as the public relations consultants for a four-year period. This campaign involved the shareholders of Cambridge Finance seeking financial retribution for their €12,270,000 loss. The campaign made legal history by the granting of the High Court to allow the shareholders of a company in receivership to hold an EGM. The Communications Group won the inaugural national No. 1 Financial Public Relations Consultancy ‘PRCA Awards for Excellence in Communications 1999/2000’ for this campaign.

Steven Roche
Communications Group of Ireland was retained by Tour de France winner Stephen Roche to manage both his public relations campaign and his sponsorship management programme during his rally campaign, which resulted in Stephen winning the Group N Championship. Energiser and others contributed an annual sponsorship budget of €115,000.

Liam O’Callaghan
Former Irish Rally Championship winner Liam O’Callaghan engaged our services to obtain sponsorship on his part that included sponsorship from Esso Ultron.

Michael Cullen
Ireland’s record breaking Irish and International Saloon Car Champion engaged both our public relations and sponsorship services over a four year period which supported his campaign to win five major saloon car titles in one year and make him a house hold name. Extensive media work was done throughout provincial and national radio net works including RTE & UTV TV.

Irish Forestry Services (IFS)
We were first engaged by Irish Forestry Services in 1997 and are still currently managing their public relations strategy. Since their inception, Irish Forestry Services has become Ireland’s largest independent landowners and forest Asset Management Company. With in excess of 10,000 shareholders they now manage funds in excess of €40 million. The Communications Group were runners-up in the Public Relations Consultants Association‘PRCA Awards for Excellence in Communications 2002/2003’ for this campaign.

Irish Accommodation Services Institute (IASI)
Communications Group of Ireland was first engaged by the IASI, formerly the Association of Hotel Accommodation Management, in 1996 and are still retained by them to date. The Communications Group were responsible for the rebranding of the organisation in 2001 and the launch of their new corporate image. CGI are responsible for the organisation of the Institute’s annual AGM and national conference in addition to the scripting and design of publications such as their newsletters and conference brochures.

Lynch Hotel Group
Ireland’s largest independent Hotel Group in the West of Ireland. The Communications Group were engaged by the Lynch Hotel Group on a regular basis to handle their business media relation’s programmes.

Public Relations Institute of Ireland
Communications Group of Ireland was engaged by the Institute to provide corporate training services for their Certificate and Diploma courses in Public Relations for a number of years in the core subject Public Relations.
